Can't install FNC components on a Windows VM : error "There is another version of "TMS FNC Grid Excel Bridge" installed with setup.exe"

Hi

On a Windows VM I can’t install all FNC packs (with TMS Dashboard). The program stop with error “Error: There is another version of "TMS FNC Grid Excel Bridge" installed with setup.exe. Please uninstall it from Start Menu->Add or remove programs.” after downloading and analyzing the packages.

On a fresh VM it’s ok.

On the VM where I have the anomaly, I had used some TMS components in the past but uninstalled them a long time ago. I don’t see where anything from "TMS FNC Grid Excel Bridge" can be and of course I have no TMS project in the Windows installed apps lists (except TMS Data Modeler and Setup).

Do you have any idea where to look to find the file blocking the installation ?

The installer is looking for the registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\tmssoftware\TMS FNC Grid Excel bridge and if that key exists it will show that error.

If you know it has been uninstalled, just open regedit and remove that entry.

I remove the “tmssoftware” key, a lot of packages where there. Perhaps not uninstalled correctly. Strange, but not a real problem.

The new install is working as expected.
