is it possible to fetch the fields with the webclientdataset on design time?

But for what is the function „edit fields“(right click on the component) good for?
I did the following:
I use this function, add a field by hand an saved it.
The field name was the same as a field in the Database.
Then a clicked by accident on the delete Button and the other fields of the database appears in the list.
At least this results in an error.
So far I could not reproduce this.
Is this TWebClientDataSet connected to a TWebClientConnection with a valid URL set and with Active = true?
