The installation of all of the component packs is much,much slower than previous versions when compiling for the different devices.
What is the reason for this?

The latest version installer will precompile all packages for all supported platforms whereas the previous installer only compiled for Win32. The fact that we now precompile for all platforms makes the life of C++Builder users easier.
