Hallo All,
I have the following questions:

  1. It seems like REST Inside does not work if the server only has a self-signed or unsecure certificate for https connections. Is there a work around?
  2. Is the source code available? I want to look inside as a start point for a REST client.
  3. If not, is there a sample code for Delphi using FNC Cload Pack for a REST client application?

For the moment that is not yet possible.
The code isn't available. But it is all built, based on our own TTMSFNCCloudBase component.

After a quick review of the three posts, I did not see how to execute https requests on servers with self signed certificates or how to handle the error return.
Are there any examples?

Hi, my colleague responsible for handling REST insight is currently in holiday. The REST Insight & TMS FNC Cloud Base components are used to execute REST requests on an API. What you are asking for is not possible as my colleague already answered. We also cannot provide the source code to REST insight.

this is the right answer of the wrong question, because this was already solved. Please read the whole history.
You can see 24 days ago my question without an answer:

I do not think so, that your colleague is in holiday since 24 days.
Once more, the question was "how to handle certificate error due to self signed certificates".

There is no workaround, right now, REST Insight is not able to handle this.

The code is not available. We keep the code internally, to avoid the risk of copies being spread out.

This has been answered by my colleague. REST insight uses TTMSFNCCloudBase, which covers most of the features REST insight has. TTMSFNCCloudBase is capable of handling REST APIs

Also, please specify which server with self-signed certificates you are trying to approach, so we can at least test it here against TTMSFNCCloudBase and see which errors occur.

the question is regarding the
TMS Cloud Base Components
and not REST inside software.
There is no workaround.

You can let answer your colleague after his holiday because I have written the software with Delphi only components for Windows and Linux.

Interesting on if it will be easier with TMS components.

It seems, that answering direct to the email can not been seen here?

it is an internal server running in my network, Proxmox PVE.

REST Insight & TMS FNC Cloud Pack components use the same TTMSFNCCloudBase class so the issue remains the same. Answering to the email coming from the support center is not enabled. We are testing with this however, it could be possible that we enable this in the future.
