Installation fails

Your installation routines have become a mess. There are now 3 alternatives,

  1. Download the setup
  2. Subscriptionmanager
  3. Smart Setup

When I try to use the Subscriptionmanager to install any Biz product, the Subscriptionmanager crashes. I try to start Smart Setup, but no (see picture)

One and a half hour messing around, I'm done.

What happens if you try to use Smart Setup from command-line (from folder C:\Users\oleek\AppData\Local\TMS Setup, running the following command:

tms list-remote

?

It just lists product names with version number.

It does not help me install.

Can I install all products, the whole range, using the download option and Windows installer or are there products that require SmartSetup?

Please bring back the Supscription Manager for the whole product line.

I have downloaded and installed the latest version of Sparkle. Smart Setup Gui still lists local version as 3.29, but Subscription Manager is "green" and lists 3.30.0.3

This is completely different behavior from your last message. I asked you a question two months ago and I didn't receive any answer. Now this is a different error.

For the products that are listed as "available", select them and click "Full build", this should properly build and install them. If there are error, send us the mentioned logs.zip file which contains the full information for us to properly check what happened and take action.

For now, only very few products require Smart Setup, like TMS VCL Excel Bridge. The vast majority of the products still can be installed using the old, ancient, soon-to-be-deprected way.

It's still there available as usual. But not for long.

I first uninstalled, using Windows uninstaller, the whole product range. Then tried to install and it failed, please see attached log file.
2025-01-22-05-16-38.181.saved.log (55.5 KB)

The log error indicates you tried to only install TMS BIZ Core Library.

It installed successfully on Win32 and Win64 platforms, and failed in iOSDevice64, likely because you didn't correctly configure such platform in Delphi. Are you able to compile any project and/or package for iOSDevice64 platform?

In any case, it's already installed and working for Win32/Win64. That's one of the many benefits of Smart Setup, it some platform fails but others work, you can already use the working ones and ignore the others, especially if you are not going to use it.

Thanks for the log file, but next time please send the logs.zip file as indicated by Smart Setup and as also stated previously here.
