Can you use one <dev id="content" with different form containers ?

I have a mainform with a bootstrap navbar and want to use it as a host for different subforms. as the topic says I tried to use one for all subforms but it did not work in so far as changing to another form did not make it visible.

Any idea? Thanks for reading!

Yes, I checked all demos as kind of a refresher about current version of TMS Web Core
