I've not been able to reproduce this issue.
Editing Groups permissions is working as expected.
Can you please make sure the actual Group item is selected (and not one of the child items) before pressing the edit button?

If the problem persists, can you please provide exact steps to reproduce this with the demo application (included with the product download) so I can further investigate this?
