Point data at same lat-lon plotted offset from each other

I am using the Leaflet option of FNC Maps and have many records with the same latitudes and longitudes. They ought to plot on top of each other but end up plotting as a long north-south oriented array. It seems that the default behaviour when two records have the same lat-lon values is to offset the next one plotted from every earlier version.

How does one change this behaviour?

Hi,

We are currently unaware of such an issue with the Leaflet service in TTMSFNCMaps. Could you please try to replicate the problem in a simple sample project? This will help us investigate the matter more effectively.

fncmaps_mn.dfm (34.1 KB)
fncmaps_mn.pas (6.1 KB)
Test_FNCMaps.dpr (340 Bytes)
Test_FNCMaps.dproj (58.9 KB)

Here is a simple test example. When running, please zoom out on the map to see locations in far north western Canada. If you add single datasets (buttons 1 to 3 by themselves), data plot in the correct positions. Note that dataset 1 and 3 are the same data, just shown with different colours. If you add two or three datasets together, the sample locations are offset from correct positions and closer inspection shows that data with the same location get plotted in a north-south line. The situation gets exacerbated by zooming out.

Hope this works and shows what I see.

Bruce

Thank you for following up. We have identified and resolved the issue. The fix will be included in the next TMS FNC Maps release.

Thanks

Can you provide any indication of when the next version will be released? Are we talking days, weeks or months?

The next TMS FNC Maps release is planned for later this week.

Wonderful. Thanks

Bruce

Happy to help!
The fix is now available in TMS FNC Maps v4.4.3.2
