TAdvDateTimePicker, checkbox

Good mornig to all,
in TAdvDatetimePicker component there is a ShowCheckBox, when it is true checkbox is showed.
If this checkbox is false the control deos not enabled, if is true is enabled.
But, is the checkbox is set to false and the dropdown button is pressed, the checkbox is setted to true and the calendar is showed.
How is possible to avoid this? (Meaning, disable dropdown button click until the checkbox is setted to true).
Note: If DateMode is setted to UpDpwn ona the checkbox is false, if one of the button is pressed nothing happend because the edit is disable.

The meaning of this checkbox is not enable/disable the control, it is considered to input a null date when unchecked and a valid date when checked.
Dropdown button itself is not connected to this checkbox.
