Runtime error 217 at 0000000000AECFA0 on Fedora 41

Hi TMS Team,

Thank you for your great product. We have been following the progress of web core since its beta version. We would like to start using on our frontend. We have developers working on different platforms (Windows, MacOS and Linux/Fedora). We would like to use TMS Web Core VSC. The issue is we constantly get runtime error and we have not addressed the issue.

The following code returns Runtime error 217 at 0000000000AECFA0 on Fedora 41. What may be the cause of the error?

Is this problem happening on just one specific project or in any project?

Hi Bruno,

I managed to run on Fedora with an older version - May version. The latest version raises the error.

We do not have a Fedora running here. Besides, it is not an officially supported distro for Embarcadero (the transpiler is built for Linux using the Delphi compiler of course).
We will first test with a supported Linux distro.
Do you have an Ubuntu or Redhat to test on?

We prefer Fedora over Ubuntu. Let me try with Redhat later this week. I will revert as soon as I test.

In any case, it is working now. We are just testing now. We will buy the full package and start using in Feb.

From our investigation, it appears that Embarcadero changes in connection with SKIA causes this. We are working on a fix / workaround that will be in the next release.
