Property to define actual object to send keystrokes too

I find with using smoothpop-up panel which contains TEdit and smoothtouchkeyboard(ktCELLPHONE)the keystrokes are not passing to the TEDIT. Even if I set focus to edit box. Would be good if there was a property vallue where you could define the editbox(or other control) to connect too
