keystroke speed in grid combobox too fast

Is there a setting to slow down the lookup speed in the combobox control in a grid?

The user types  "ABC" too slowly and they wind up with the C.... position instead of ABC...

This lookup speed is determined by Windows itself, i.e. this makes the behavior consistent with other Windows combobox controls. I'm not sure if there is at Windows level a setting to control this autocomplete speed.
