Can you please add the possibility to execute all tasks within the same Workflow instance, before another task of a different WFI will be presented.
At the Workflow definition one could add a property "Complete whole workflow during task execution". Maybe it could be set at the "Start"-block of the diagram.
It might be a good approach to create a query internally within the workflow component, instead of using the database table directly. This way filtering and sorting might become a far easier task.
