CryptoDemo (TMS Crypto Pack Beta 5.0.3) - Error Signing CSR ("Not a Valid Certificate")

Hello @Bernard,

I am encountering an issue with the CryptoDemo application that is included in TMS Crypto Pack Beta 5.0.3. When attempting to sign a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) using the generated Root Certificate, the application throws the following error:

Not a valid certificate

Reproduction Steps:

  1. Open the CryptoDemo application.
  2. Generate a Root CA Certificate within the application.
  3. Generate a CSR using the same application.
  4. Attempt to sign the CSR with the generated Root CA.
  5. The error "Not a valid certificate" appears.

Additional Information:

  • Both the Root CA Certificate and the CSR were created using the delivered CryptoDemo application.
  • The issue is captured in the attached GIF recording for reference.
  • No modifications were made to the CryptoDemo application or the certificate generation process.

I would appreciate any guidance or fixes for this issue.
