Changes to Google Maps API

Hi,


I was wondering how the new changes to the Google Maps API would affect this component. 

If my understanding is correct, Google already implemented the changes (on june 11th) and clearly, the component still works but is it a temporary measure where "the old way" still works alongside the new one? If so, I assume the component will be updated?

It is our understanding that the Google changes mean that in order to have a valid API key, there now needs to be a credit card number set in the Google account of the owner of the API key but other than this, it would not have effect on the code.
