Simple app with tableview. Add onesection, add one item.
Set description and text, independet of style only text is shown.
Same also when tested with onGetDescription event, it gets fired but returned value is ignored.

It makes no difference, You can either post in the forums or send us an email.
About the Description issue, this is indeed an issue in the simulator, which actually has some other issues as well. If you have troubles in the simulator, always test on a real Device, because that is where the application will be deployed to eventually.
This is also mentioned in the documentation.
