I used to have problems with this with the old FNCGrid - too many cells and mouse selection became very slow. When I last used FNCDataGrid maybe 6 months ago the problem seemed to be solved but I now realise that was the effect of the 3090 GPU! I'm now I'm getting very slow performance on my laptop when selecting a range of cells. This is a 9 year old Dell 7710 but is still pretty powerful and other grids I've tested don't have this problem. I created a new VCL project and copied the form OnCreate code from this post TMS Software | Blog. Set row height = 25 and row width = 50 to ensure a large number of visible cells.
Performance is as follows: (1) 600 visible cells - no noticable lag when selecting a range of cells. (2) 800 visible cells - very noticable lag. (3) 1000 visible cells - range selection is unusable.
I've let Astra (medium) run for a couple of cycles but it hasn't spotted anything obvious - any ideas?
Thanks, Bob
